Inspired by functional design and the shapes, tastes and culture of Tanzania, these intricate wooden pieces for the kitchen and home are created from locally sourced indigenous wood - African Blackwood.

The Makonde tribe is renowned for their wood carving skills, which are passed down for generations from father to son. Each piece embodies their heritage and carries with it a part of the makers’ history.

FEATURES AND DETAILS:

Material: African Blackwood. Please note although the wood is called African Blackwood, it can sometimes have beautiful light grains and sections running through it. We love the two tone look and hope you do too.

SPOON CARE: Hand wash gently in lukewarm water and dry immediately.

Do not put in the dishwasher or leave soaking in liquids.Use food safe mineral oil when required to retain the natural finish of the wood.
